Who We Are

Our Vision

The vision of Catholic Campus Ministry for the Diocese of Green Bay at the Oshkosh Newman Center is for the Newman Center to be “a sanctuary where the thirsty come to drink in the midst of their journey, and a centre of the constant missionary outreach” (Pope Francis, Evangelii Gaudium 28) on the campus of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.

Catholic Campus Ministry is committed to:

College students: We offer a sacred place to call home on campus where students can receive the sacraments, pray, and grow in their Catholic faith individually and as members of the community of believers. We seek to form fully alive, fully engaged, joyful followers of Christ.

The UW-Oshkosh Campus Community: We offer University faculty and staff a sacred place of prayer where they can receive the sacraments and support in integrating faith into their professional and personal lives.

Alumni: We offer alumni the invitation of involvement in Catholic Campus Ministry while they remain engaged members of their own parishes.

Parishes: We assist parishes in helping to recognize and identify young adults and to determine how best to prepare them for college life.
